Social Care
We treat our residents as individuals. As such each receives a comprehensive assessment of their health and social care needs which we then develop into a tailored care plan. This plan is then regularly reviewed to identify any changing needs and to ensure appropriate care is provided. We work in conjunction with GP’s and community health services to ensure the best possible package of care and support is provided.
We follow the principles of person centred care. This philosophy helps us to see the person rather than their illness or abilities they may have lost. We have adopted the pioneering ProActive System developed by Jackie Pool Associates, one of the UK’s leading specialist in dementia issues.
Working with Jackie Pool, we have introduced a series of new initiatives to Springfield including ‘help yourself’ bistro areas for residents and their friends, new signage, more personal touches around the home, including ‘memory montages’ outside bedrooms and timelines from past decades in common areas. These are all designed to promote interaction.
