Lockdown Fun

During the difficult period of lockdown, we have been keeping ourselves entertained with a wide variety of activities.

This has been a difficult time when we have not been able to welcome family, friends and entertainers into the homes so we have been coming up with different ideas to brighten our days and bring smiles to our faces.

The weather has been kind to us so we have been enjoying our beautiful gardens, we certainly needed our sun lotion and sun hats! The gardens are growing beautifully and it has been great to feel the fresh air.

The staff have been dressing up for themed days and performing sing-alongs for the residents. There have been some very interesting dance moves!!

We have been doing lots of arts and crafts, including creating flower pictures, potato painting and creating a beautiful hand print rainbow which is on display so people walking past can see it and hopefully brighten their day.

We have enjoyed talks by John, our Canary at Springfield, on various topics.

Residents and Staff have enjoyed celebrations for Mothers Day, Easter, VE Day and St Patricks Day, to name but a few.

We can’t wait to welcome visitors back into the homes but for now we will keep on having fun!
