At Springfield and Prinsted Care Homes, we are proud to introduce Mirela Constantin, our dedicated Clinical Lead and Deputy Manager.
With over 11 years of experience working at both care homes, Mirela brings her wealth of clinical knowledge, compassion, and leadership to improve the quality of care for our residents.
Mirela’s career in nursing began with a natural inclination towards care and a desire to expand her clinical expertise. Initially working in hospitals and care homes, she transitioned to Springfield and Prinsted where her journey in care really took shape.
Starting her career on the night shift, Mirela quickly advanced to more challenging roles, tackling daytime shifts and taking on greater responsibilities as her career progressed.
Through her consistent commitment to learning and improving, Mirela eventually took on the role of Clinical Lead and Deputy Manager, where she now supervises nurses and team leaders.
She is responsible for managing audits and ensuring the highest standards of clinical care are met across the care homes. Her deep desire to improve and broaden her clinical skills keeps her at the forefront of the ever-changing care environment.
Mirela’s leadership style is unique – she is known for her gentle demeanour but possesses great strength and resilience. Her calm, soft-spoken nature allows her to communicate effectively with both staff and residents, fostering a nurturing environment that creates a better care experience for everyone.
Despite her gentle manner, Mirela’s leadership is respected by her colleagues. She leads by example, always willing to roll up her sleeves and assist in any way possible, whether that’s guiding her team or offering hands-on care to a resident.
Her knowledge and clinical expertise have earned her the respect of the entire team at Springfield and Prinsted. Staff members appreciate her willingness to mentor, guide, and take an active role in their professional development, while residents cherish the comfort and care she provides.
Mirela’s connection with the residents goes beyond her clinical duties. She is deeply involved in their care, taking the time to understand each individual’s needs and circumstances.
Her favourite part of the job is performing resident assessments, where she gets to meet new people and assess how their quality of life can be improved. She enjoys seeing the positive changes in residents after they receive the right care.
The residents value Mirela’s compassionate approach. She is closely involved in planning changes to individual care plans, making sure that the well-being and comfort of the residents remain the top priority. Mirela’s warm, hands-on approach to care is a cornerstone of her relationship with both residents and their families.
Outside of work, Mirela is a devoted mother to her six-year-old daughter. Much like her role at Springfield, she balances her time between work and home life with grace and determination, whether she’s attending her daughter’s activity clubs or spending quality time with her family.
Despite the demands of her personal life, Mirela remains committed to her role at Springfield and Prinsted. Her dedication to ensuring the highest quality of care never faulters, even as she juggles her responsibilities both at work and at home.
What’s remarkable about Mirela is her unwavering positivity. When asked about the challenges of her job, she simply responds, “There are none.” For Mirela, every aspect of her role is an opportunity to learn, grow, and help others. This attitude is infectious, creating a positive work environment that resonates throughout the care home.
Mirela’s ongoing commitment to improving her skills and nurturing her team ensures that Springfield and Prinsted Care Homes continue to provide excellent care. She is always looking forward, seeking new ways to better serve residents and staff alike.
