Everyone has their own idea of fun – and it’s no different for the residents of Springfield Health Services. With dedicated activity coordinators on hand every single day, we go above and beyond to include everyone’s ideas.
With one hundred residents, we have one hundred different ideas to cater to – and we love incorporating these into our daily activities and events. In fact, when a new resident joins us, our team takes the time to learn about their hobbies and interests to ensure that they’re included. In other words, our activities are as diverse as our residents!
Here at Springfield Health Services, we have something for everyone – from interactive tarantula experiences to local beach trips, from National Wine Day to National Chocolate Day. Here’s some of the trips and activities that we’ve organised recently:

Each month, our residents receive an activities programme so that they’re aware of the upcoming schedule. This gives us the flexibility to add special events, such as screenings of the recent Euros final.
As you can tell, choice is central to our approach – and this means that some residents may not want to take part. Whilst we encourage all to participate, we understand and respect individual preferences. Whether you’re observing from the sidelines or actively participating, we strive to ensure that everyone feels included and valued. For those who prefer quieter moments, for example, we offer one-to-one visits, reading sessions, or screenings of their favourite TV shows.
Equally, we acknowledge the importance of our residents always having their say. As a result, we always ask for and listen to feedback.
We hold regular audits to track how popular our activities and events are. From this, we gather input to make sure our programmes are dynamic and reflective of the Springfield community.
